This is a rather fetching t-shirt I drew up today for Jules. He's off in a few days to the Borneo jungle, all for a good cause- with the charity Raleigh International. This is his Mark Knopfler costume for a jungle fancy dress competition they will be having out there! Winner!

This is an ad I've recently illustrated for Velti, a mobile marketing agency. The Alternative creative team and I came up with the concept & design for the advert, specifically tailored for Figaro Digital Magazine that it was printed in. I made a group of 3D paper characters, which were then photographed.

A little while ago I worked on the artwork for this mug design for Orange. It's pretty tricky to make letters from chocolate powder! The mug was a gift that was sent out to all of their store managers nationwide.

Hello, as I mentioned in my last post, for the past three weeks I've been working as a creative intern at The Alternative. It's been great!

I have been busy working on concepts and visuals for a range of exciting client briefs, as well as a bit of internal imagemaking for company promotion.

i've been busy working on the 'Decade Screenings- A century of cinema' set of movie posters for The Phoenix Cinema.
Below are the last couple i've designed.

King Kong is screening next on 21st November- for free!

Hello everyone,

Well it's almost the end of the 'Made In Britain' group show that I have been part of.
If any of you didn't have a chance to pop down and see it, here's my illustration for the show entitled 'Tent City', inspired by the great British Music Festival season.

The Phoenix Cinema

My co-designer Laura Alvarado and I have recently collaborated on a large project for The Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley.

They are celebrating their centenary by having a complete Art Deco refurbishment and we have been busy preparing for the opening night. We have just finished making a Phoenix garland that is to be cut- in progress picture is above!

We've also designed the Art Deco inspired invitations for the grand opening this Thursday!

....and also ten film posters to represent each decade the cinema has been open. Here is my King Kong poster in progress.

I'll post up photos of the opening celebrations later this week woo hoo!

I have been working with fine artist Mark Evans for the past few months, producing artwork for him for his forthcoming NYC show.
This is a sneaky peek of one of the pieces I finished a little while ago... this piece is made entirely from collaged US dollar bills.

Sadly this didn't end up being the final jacket design, but it's a great book and out now!

Mark Evans

On Thursday, I attended the private view for artist Mark Evans.

It was his first solo show, entitled 'Skin Deep' and the night was a great success!

It's on until May 8th 2010 at The Scream Gallery on Bruton St W1, so if you're in the area some time soon I would highly recommend popping by- his work is amazing :) He produces large-scale artworks, painstakingly hand etched into leather hides.

I've been working my socks off recently on some artwork for a band called 'Mountain of Fire'.
I was asked to illustrate the cover to their forthcoming album release 'the Only Reason For Time'- and also designed the overall packaging for it too.

It's out at the beginning of April so will be able to post up some image then :)

Back at the end of November I was asked by the lovely people at Reason Design- http://www.reasondesign.co.uk/ to do a little ditty for their latest client, charity Ctrl.Alt.Shift.

The illustration is of a girl called ' Unethical Girl' and her column is all about her attempts at living a 'green' lifestyle.

Hello!

Yes I'm still alive, have been rather busy recently with lots of exciting new projects on the go. I'm currently working on album artwork for a band, and have just completed my book jacket roughs for the lovely people at Hodder & Stoughton. Will post up a little teaser asap!

I'm also in the middle of organising a pop-up exhibition with some of my fellow Illustrators...more info coming soon, watch this space!

Yes I attended the D&AD Student Awards last Thursday, and won First Prize! I'm very chuffed!! It was a really exciting evening...I still can't quite believe it! I'll post some piccies up very soon.

In the meantime here's the work I was awarded a Yellow Pencil for...

The brief was to design an interactive window display for Hamleys toy store in London. My idea was to make the shop look like the front of a circus tent, and have an animation projected from inside to make it look as though animals were walking across the windows. Passers by can look through the gaps in the curtains with viewing devices such as binoculars and telescopes, to see the animals in their natural habitats. There would be a different habitat&animal behind each viewing hole. (Fig 3)

'Unwrapped' Degree Show

Well, here it is! My space at the Free Range 'Unwrapped' Degree Show. It has been a great (but very exhausting) few days at the Truman Brewery... can't believe it's already time to take it all down.
